So apparently talking to a camera is somewhat of a challenge for me. Don’t mind the excessive amount of saying “k”, my double chin, and how monotone it is. I didn’t realize how boring I was haha. It is also a little long, I could have talked forever! I really need your feedback from this...

As always,Nicole, I love your attitude, your style, and just you. Having had the opportunity to work with you on a couple different occasions now, you are always light and bright. I love that most about you. In regards to this video, as a photographer, what I really appreciate about this is that you really took it back to the basics. As photographers, I feel that we grow extravagantly, but along the way, we forget those basics and to be able to be pulled back and remember where we started and what that foundation did for us is truly an integral part in becoming successful. High-Fives on the vid blog.
Nicole this is fantastic! Tons of great info, you did GREAT!
so i did love this post and was great, as a new photographer i really look up to you..
I know i am trying to build my portfolio and i have to do alot of work for free, which is fine…
but when do you know you have to start charging clients for your work?
Hey Nicole!!! So finally got a chance to sit and watch your vlog!!! As per all your photos I really loved it! A lot of wonderful tips and advice for newer photographers, such as myself, to take in!!!! Keep them coming Nicole! One question… How do you know you’re ready to take on certain things tho? Like how did you go into your first wedding confident and positive? I find I go into shoots petrified of how it will turn out or if my camera or lens malfunction… How do you overcome those fears?
Only ten days! Just 10 days left. I can hardly stand it. It has been over 3 months since we last shot a wedding. I am going a little insane. My husband just keeps laughing at me because usually by the end of wedding season I am in need of a huge break, but now...

I am just very slowly learning all the buttons on my DSLR – during a shoot, are you constantly changing the settings? Don’t you miss great shots? Or do you have a good setting for the area that you are in and keep it there? Just want to know how you can shoot quick if you need to change things.
Thank you so much for your question Sue.
We do change our settings as we find with wedding photography the light is always changing. However, we have learned to be very fast while changing them. We know what we like and some what stick to that. Also, this is the good thing about having 2 photographers. You won’t miss the big moments!
Hope that helps!
A big THANK YOU to all of the couples that trusted my with their most magical moments this year. Lots of Love ~N~

Great post!
How I Spent My Thanksgiving Weekend… I head back to Medicine Hat about 10 times a year. That’s 60 hours of driving…yup crazy right! I normally take the same boring route through Calgary. Well one time Shawn decided we should mix it up and go through Drumheller. I fell instantly in love. I bet he...
